Tennessee quarterback Jake Locker will start on Sunday against the 49ers, according to a couple of sources.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network and Pro Football Talk both reported on Saturday morning that Locker will get the for the Titans when they host the 49ers Sunday afternoon.

Locker had suffered what appeared to be a serious hip injury three weeks ago, and initial reports had Locker "likely" headed for injured reserve, with a designation to return. That would have knocked him out for eight weeks.

Instead, he will have missed only two weeks.

Locker was one of the quarterbacks taken ahead of Colin Kaepernick in the 2011 draft. Locker, from the University of Washington, was taken with the eighth pick in the first round. Kaepernick was snapped up by the 49ers in the second round.
