49ers' recent bad headlines
The Miami investigation involving
Colin Kaepernick and
Quinton Patton is the latest in a string of off-field incidents in which 49ers players have received unwanted attention the past three years:
Ahmad Brooks avoided criminal charges after he reportedly hit teammate Lamar Divens in the face of with a beer bottle after night of club-hopping last June.
Daniel Kilgore was arrested in January in his hometown of Kingsport, Tenn., and charged with public intoxication.
Michael Crabtree was accused of sexual assault at a San Francisco hotel Jan. 13, 2013, but he was not charged after an investigation by the San Francisco Police Department.
Al Netter in February 2013 and defensive lineman
Demarcus Dobbs in November 2012.
Chris Culliver was arrested March 28 in San Jose on suspicion of hit-and-run and other charges after an incident involving a bicyclist. Culliver also was found to be in possession of brass knuckles. Culliver is scheduled to be back in a San Jose courtroom Friday for an arraignment hearing on charges of a felony and two misdemeanors.
