DANVILLE -- Seniors who are looking for something new to learn or a new adventure to try can find it all at the Senior Recreation Program Expo, to be held from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the Oak Hill Park Community Center, 3005 Stone Valley Road.

The town's Recreation Services will offer a preview of the many new and expanded programs, many of which will find a home in the Veterans Memorial Building when it opens.

"With a new, fresh interior and exterior, the Veterans Memorial Building offers a great gathering place for seniors to exercise, learn, relax and socialize," said Jane Laris, recreation supervisor, in a news release.

Seniors will also have the opportunity to meet the 13 new instructors hired by the city and learn more about the classes that they and others will be teaching. Visit www.danville.ca.gov or call 925-314-3400 for more information.

The event is free and preregistration is not required. Light refreshments will be available.
