ALAMO -- The Rotary Club's annual Alamo Music and Wine Festival, now in its 30th year, returns Saturday.

The event is from noon to 10 p.m. at Alamo Plaza.

The festival features food, wine, music, dancing and family activities.

The Rotary Club calls the event "Alamo's block party," Alamo Rotary Club President John Jones said.

"In the afternoon, a lot of kids's stuff is going on," he said. "In the evening, it sort of morphs into a music festival. You have a lot of adults who come out for a nice time."

Starting at noon, kids can enjoy a rock climbing wall, inflatable jump houses and a steam train.

School music groups also start at noon. The San Ramon High School Band and the Monte Vista High School Band will perform, followed by jazz bands from San Ramon Valley High and Stone Valley Middle School. The Alamo Elementary School Choir will perform at 5 p.m.

Three professional bands will appear at the event. The "California acoustic soul" band Alma Desnuda plays from 4 to 7 p.m. The Flyright Sisters will perform swing and boogie-woogie classics from 7:30 to 7:50 p.m. Party band The Fundamentals will play from 8 to 10 p.m.

Local restaurants Faz and Maggierays will serve dinner from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The Alamo Rotary Club will also bring back the popular "Burger Barn," offering sausages, hot dogs and hamburgers.

"We've got great beer and wine," Jones said.

California wineries Cline Cellars and Jacuzzi

Family Vineyard will offer commemorative wine glasses with the first glass of wine purchased. Prizes will be raffled off, including Apple Store and Amazon gift certificates.
