Berkeley East Bay Humane Society

Nine-year-old Hyacinth has been patiently waiting for her forever home since July. A note from Hyacinth's foster mom: "Hyacinth is an absolute love. She is very affectionate. When I first brought her home she head butted just about everything to get some scratches. Now she doesn't do that as much, probably because she knows that she just needs to look at me and I will pet her. Even though I was a stranger to her she was giving me lots of affection. Needless to say, she is a lap cat and given any kind of angle she'll find a way to snuggle up on me. She follows me around the house, usually sitting down next to me and settling in for some scratches. She has an inquisitive meow and a quiet purr when you pet her." To meet Hyacinth stop by the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society during adoption hours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 2700 Ninth St. For more details email cats@berkeleyhumane.org or call 510-845-3633, ext. 14.
