Juan, a sweet and handsome 7-month-old, was surrendered by his owners, who are moving out of the country and can't take him along. He loves to be cuddled and snuggled and spend time playing. A note from Juan's foster mom: He also loves to run at night so he would need to be shut out of the bedroom if sleep is important to the adopter. I wish he could find a kitten or another young cat he could get along with -- it would be great for him to have a playmate.
Myrlie is a 7-month-old, 48-pound, loving and gentle girl. She's mild and easygoing, but will "get the zoomies from time to time, especially when playing with her dog buddies." She is a nice blend of playful and relaxed, happy to chase a tennis ball as well as watch Netflix with you. She might even be able to live in a home with dog-savvy cats given proper introduction.
To meet Juan, Myrlie or their friends, stop by during adoption hours at the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society, 2700 Ninth St.
Cat adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Dog adoption hours are Wednesday through Friday from noon-4 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
