DETROIT -- Rookie right-hander Jarrod Parker will start Game 1 for the A's in Saturday's opener of the American League Divisional Series.
Fellow rookie Tommy Milone will take the ball in Game 2 on Sunday, but the A's haven't announced their rotation beyond that.
Manager Bob Melvin has mentioned Brett Anderson, recovering from a strained oblique, as a possibility for Game 3 back in Oakland on Tuesday. Anderson accompanied the A's to Detroit.
Parker, 13-8 with a 3.47 ERA, has been especially tough down the stretch. He is 4-1 with a 2.63 ERA since the start of September.
