ARLINGTON, Texas -- The A's activated infielder Alberto Callaspo from the 15-day disabled list before Sunday night's game.

Callaspo, who played one game on an injury rehabilitation assignment Saturday with Class-A Stockton, missed only 10 games, thanks mostly to the four-game All-Star break. He was not in Sunday's starting lineup against the Rangers.

To make room on the roster, first baseman Nate Freiman was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento.
