OAKLAND - Firefighters appeared to have contained a two-alarm blaze in the Oakland hills late Saturday night.

The broke out near the intersection of Redwood and Old Redwood roads around 10:30 near Merritt College, a fire dispatcher said.

Firefighters called a second alarm at about 10:40 p.m. and were leaving the area about an hour later.
