LIVERMORE -- The company that manages the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory donated $50,000 to five nearby school districts to support their science programs.
Lawrence Livermore National Security, which runs the energy research lab, made the gifts of $10,000 each to the Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon and Tracy school districts on Saturday, according to a press release from the company.
The gifts were presented at the lab's Science on Saturday lecture series at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore.
