A 28-year-old woman who was killed early Monday when her car crashed into a big-rig on southbound Interstate 880 in Milpitas has been identified as Christine Walker, of San Jose.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Walker was driving a 2004 Acura just north of the Great Mall Parkway when she drifted into the right hand shoulder and ran into the back of the big-rig, according to Officer Marc Johnston of the CHP.

Walker's vehicle became pinned between the sound wall and the big-rig, Johnston said.

The accident was reported just after midnight.
