SAN FRANCISCO -- The Oakland man struck and killed by a train Friday as he walked on Muni rail tracks was identified as Aman Ellis, 37, the coroners office said Sunday.
A J-Church train hit Elles as he walked in a tunnel about 700 feet from east of the Montgomery station platform, officials said. The collision snarled the morning commute from thousands of transit riders.
Elles was pronounced dead at the scene and it was unclear why he was on the tracks. His death remains under investigations, according to the coroners office.
