Aaron Gordon, the power forward from Archbishop Mitty High in San Jose and ESPN's No. 7 overall recruit in the Class of 2013, has trimmed his list of schools to three, according to ESPN.com.

"Aaron has narrowed his list to Arizona, Washington and Kentucky in no particular order," his mom, Shelly Gordon, wrote in an email.

There's no timetable on a final decision, but gone from Gordon's list are Cal, Kansas and Oregon.

The early signing period for basketball ends Wednesday. The spring signing period begins April 17.

It is unclear which way Gordon will go.

In Mark Emmons' story this month about Gordon -- "He's got game" — the star player said of the recruiting process:

"Playing basketball is fun, and that's what gets you to this point. But the actual recruiting is not fun. A lot of people want to put their hands on my decision. But it's not theirs. It's mine."

Gordon's father, Ed, added: "We're certainly not rushing him. But yes, we're ready to have this be over."
