MILPITAS -- A loyal Lottery player who purchased a ticket back in September recently stepped forward to claim her $14 million prize.

California Lottery officials announced Tuesday that Thi Nguyen, of Milpitas, won the $14 million SuperLotto Plus jackpot on Sept. 29.

Nguyen told Lottery officials that playing the ultimate game of luck is a family affair since her brother often buys tickets for their father.

On Sept. 29, Nguyen said she could not go to the store to buy her tickets, so luckily she instead gave her brother $3 to buy them for her, Lottery officials said.

Nguyen told Lottery officials she was not sure what she would do with her multi-million dollar prize, but a news release said Nguyen was adamant about helping her family and donating to her temple.

Nguyen's ticket was purchased at Ocean Super Market, at 2 South Park Victoria Drive in Milpitas.

The winning numbers were 30, 27, 4, 3, 39 and Mega 3. The super market will receive a bonus of $70,000 for selling the winning ticket.
