OAKLAND -- Fire crews are tackling two single-alarm fires in East Oakland, authorities said Sunday night.

The first fire broke out at 9:30 p.m. at an assisted living facility in the 1700 block of MacArthur Boulevard, a fire dispatcher said.

The second fire broke out seven minutes later at a residence at 418 Gramercy Place.

It was not immediately known if there were any injuries.
