FREMONT -- A two-alarm fire moved quickly from the second floor of a bank building to the roof late Saturday night before firefighters got it under control.

The building was unoccupied at the time, and no one was injured.

The fire was reported about 10:50 Friday night at California Bank & Trust at 39315 Fremont Blvd., according to Battalion Chief Rich Dickinson. Firefighters found that flames were inside the walls on the second floor and had spread to the roof.

The fire was under control by about 11:20 p.m. Damage was estimated at $200,000 to the structure and $100,000 to the contents of the building.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
