ALAMO -- Three cars were in a collision on southbound Interstate 680 on Wednesday evening, sending one car up in flames and blocking three lanes of traffic for about an hour.
No major injuries were reported.
A crash involving an electric car and two sedans was reported shortly before 5 p.m., a California Highway Patrol spokesman said. One driver reported that her car was "engulfed in flames," the spokesman said.
