A big cat show with hundreds of the fuzzy critters on display begins a two-day run at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds on Saturday.

The show will feature contests, adoptions, cat toys and gift items for sale and a kids' coloring contest. Three feline rescue groups will be offering cats for adoption.

"There will be many vendors with wonderful unique cat things you can't find in any old store," said Karen Johnson of the Tails and No Tales Cat Club, which has been hosting the show since 1984.

The show will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The fairgrounds' is 344 Tully Rd., San Jose.
