SAN MATEO -- A former high school water polo coach is facing possible prison time after taking a plea deal in a case where he was accused of inappropriate relationships with two female students.

Joshua David Tatro, 26, of El Granada, pleaded no contest this week to sexual penetration of a minor under 18 and sending pornographic material with the intention of seducing a minor, according to the San Mateo Daily Journal.

Tatro was coaching at Aragon High School when he was arrested in June; he originally faced eight charges related to the alleged relationships with the girls.

Tatro could face up to three years and eight months in prison, and he will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, according to the Daily Journal.
