Monday, jan. 7

  • 2:12 p.m. -- Highland Avenue. The theft of a purse containing the victim's identification and credit cards was reported.

  • 2:44 p.m. -- Warfield Avenue. A man told police that someone stole the catalytic converter from his vehicle.

  • 4:11 p.m. -- Highland Avenue. An Oakland resident reported identity theft.

  • 8:23 p.m. -- Indian Road. A robbery was reported, police said.

    Tuesday, jan. 8

  • 7:29 a.m. -- Mountain Boulevard. A silver 1997 Acura was reported stolen. The car was last seen just about 20 minutes earlier, police said.

  • 11:02 a.m. -- Blair Avenue. Identity theft was reported. Identity theft was also reported at 4:25 p.m. on Palm Drive.

  • 3:58 p.m. -- Sylvan Way. A caller reported the theft of a laptop from a vehicle, police said.

    Wednesday, jan. 9

  • 6:09 a.m. -- Bonita Avenue. A resident requested extra police patrols in the neighborhood after someone broke into his vehicle. No items were stolen, however.

  • 4:56 p.m. -- Grand Avenue. A woman told police that someone broke into her vehicle.

    Thursday, jan. 10

  • 6:22 a.m. -- Ronada Avenue. A woman reported the theft of her 1998 Honda CRV. The theft occurred sometime Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

  • 7:50 a.m. -- Oakland Avenue. A woman told police that someone rifled through her unlocked vehicle. No items were stolen, however.

  • 11:24 a.m. -- Ronada Avenue. A man told police that someone broke into his vehicle and stole a gym bag, tools and other items.

  • 12:53 p.m. -- Highland Avenue. A woman reported finding someone else's property inside her vehicle when police recovered it after it was stolen.

  • 1:13 p.m. -- Maxwelton Road. Someone stole a watch and GPS device from an unlocked vehicle. The theft discovered about 6 a.m. occurred sometime after 11 p.m. Wednesday.

  • 2:50 p.m. -- Jerome Avenue. A residential burglary was reported.

  • 5:50 p.m. -- Grand Avenue. An iPod was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The theft occurred sometime Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

    Friday, jan. 11

  • 8:07 a.m. -- Scenic Avenue. A woman told police that someone rifled through her two unlocked vehicles.

  • 10:11 a.m. -- Sandringham Road. A noninjury traffic accident was reported.

  • 10:30 a.m. -- Nace Avenue. Someone stole a GPS device and loose change from a woman's locked vehicle, the resident told police. The theft happened sometime between 9 and 10 a.m. Someone also rifled through a vehicle on Sunnyside Avenue, a man told police at 10:43 a.m. The incident occurred Wednesday, and no items were stolen from inside.

    Saturday, jan. 12

  • 7:28 a.m. -- Oakland Avenue. A man reported the theft of change from his unlocked vehicle. The theft occurred sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning.

  • 8:48 a.m. -- Magnolia Avenue. A burglary was reported.

  • 12:12 p.m. -- Dudley Avenue. A woman told police that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a bag containing clothes. A woman who lives on Alta Avenue told police at 12:47 p.m. that someone stole her purse after rifling through her unlocked vehicle.

  • 1:38 p.m. -- Sandringham Road. A resident reported that someone has apparently stolen his mail.
