ALAMEDA -- The death of a man whose body was found along the Alameda shoreline on Wednesday morning is being investigated as a suicide, according to police.

His body was found around 10 a.m. at Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach near where Westline and Shore Line Drives meet by a man walking on a path, according to Alameda police Lt. Ted Horlbeck.

The man who has died has been identified, but the man's name has not been released, Horlbeck said Thursday.

He was described as Asian and between 20 and 30 years old, and was found fully clothed with no signs of trauma, Horlbeck said.
