A man suspected of killing a teenager in Oakland was arrested at the home of family members in Novato, authorities said.

Larry Williams, 47, was arraigned Monday in Alameda County on charges of murdering Kenneth Ray Jones Jr., 19, on a West Oakland street corner last August.

Williams, an Oakland resident, was arrested by Novato police on Thursday at the Wyndover apartment complex on Diablo Avenue. He had been staying there with family recently.

Williams was then turned over to Oakland police detectives and taken back to the East Bay for interviews. He made incriminating statements about his involvement in the homicide, according to a declaration by Oakland police Det. Leonel Sanchez.

The victim was shot to death Aug. 27 outside a neighborhood store at Eighth and Adeline streets, according to the Oakland Tribune. The attackers fled.

One suspect, Arthur White, was arrested several months ago. The subsequent investigation identified Williams as the alleged shooter, and video footage showed him getting the gun from White, Sanchez said.

Sanchez said the shooting might be drug-related and that Williams had a longstanding feud with the victim. Williams has five prior convictions in Alameda County related to drug sales, according to court filings.
