SAN JOSE -- The San Jose Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that broke out early Wednesday morning in the front of a house located in Willow Glen.

At 3:09 a.m., firefighters responded to the 1500 block of Glenwood Avenue, and arrived to find a small amount of fire, according to fire Capt. Rob Brown. The blaze was mostly out by the time firefighters arrived. There was minor damage to the front part of house, Brown said.

According to an unconfirmed report, a fiery object was thrown at the house, and an accelerant was used to light the object on fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
