A Fairfield man arrested on suspicion of killing a Suisun City girl Feb. 1, made his first appearance in Solano County Superior Court on Wednesday.

Anthony Lamar Jones, 32, is being charged with the murder of 13-year-old Genelle Conway-Allen and was arraigned in the Fairfield courtroom of Judge Peter B. Foor, but did not enter a plea.

Solano District Attorney Donald du Bain charged Jones with murder with special circumstances, making him eligible for the death penalty. However, the District Attorney's Office has not made a decision on whether it will actually seek the death penalty.

The judge ordered Jones to have no contact with his estranged wife, who prosecutor said was the victim of domestic violence weeks before Conway-Allen was found dead.

The judge ordered Jones back to court at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 21 to complete his arraignment.

He remains in Solano County Jail without bail.
