ANTIOCH -- An Antioch man riding a brand new motorcycle suffered head injuries when the bike slammed into his neighbor's garage wall Saturday night, police said.

The 41-year-old remained in a hospital Tuesday afternoon but police believe he will recover, Antioch police Lt. Diane Aguinaga said.

The wreck happened about 6:20 p.m. in the 3900 block of Finch Drive, and police are still investigating how it may have happened, Aguinaga said. Those calling dispatch said the throttle was stuck in place when the wreck occurred, but police have not come to any conclusions, Aguinaga said.

Police said the motorcycle, a 2013 Harley Davidson, was parked in front of the man's home, when he tried to take it into the garage. The man lost control and drove the motorcycle into the wall, police said.
