CAMPBELL -- The state senator representing the swath of Santa Clara County from Cupertino through East San Jose announced Wednesday that he will open a new office in a central location for constituents.
Sen. Jim Beall said the reason he selected the location at 2105 S. Bascom Ave., Suite 154, is because the area offers "free parking and convenient access for people with disabilities."
"My priority is to help the people I represent and I want to make it as simple as possible for them to visit my district office," Buell wrote in a news release.
The office is in the Lincoln Court building, a block south of the Pruneyard Shopping Center. Buell will hold an open house from 4 to 6:30 p.m. March 14 and invited residents to come meet him, his staff and ask questions about what they do and how they can help people having problems with state government agencies and policies.
Beall was elected to his senate seat in November. He previously served in the assembly, as a county supervisor and a San Jose councilman.
Senate District 15 includes about 930,000 people and reaches from the border with Stanislaus County to the east and runs west past Saratoga, encompassing all of that city as well as Los Gatos, Monte Sereno and Campbell and most of San Jose.
The new office can be reached at 408-558-1291.
