After a gunbattle marred February's First Friday festival in Oakland, officials have made several changes for the upcoming festival this week.
Street closures will begin at 3 p.m. and be limited to area of West Grand Avenue and 27th Street along Telegraph Avenue.
No open containers or public beer gardens will be allowed, and no alcohol licenses will be approved for art galleries withing the festival's footprint
There will only be one stage with amplified sound.
The event will end at 9 p.m. instead 10 p.m.
There will be moments of silence at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to commemorate lives lost to Oakland's street violence.
