EL CERRITO -- Police in El Cerrito are asking for the public's help to find three men who they say broke into a person's car and stole a backpack Tuesday.

The crime occurred at 4:30 p.m. with the three men working in tandem to pull off the theft, police said. One man acted as a lookout, while a second drove what appears to police to be a black, older Lexus, police said. The third suspect, broke the car window and took the backpack, police said.

Police said the Lexus may be part of the GS series.
