Organizers have lined up a strong cast of talent for the 21st annual Santa Cruz Blues Festival, set for May 25 and 26 at Aptos Village Park.

Topping the list is the Steve Miller Band, the San Francisco-reared act that has sold some 25 million records in the U.S. alone. Miller's troupe is well known for such hit singles as "The Joker," "Take the Money and Run," "Fly Like an Eagle" and "Jungle Love," all of which remain staples on the classic-rock radio format to this day.

Other acts on the bill include blues vocalist-guitarist Jimmie Vaughan (the founder of the Fabulous Thunderbirds), soul/R&B outfit Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, blues guitar virtuoso Sonny Landreth, Oakland roots-music act the California Honey Drops, Texas blues singer Lou Ann Barton, Grammy-nominated R&B vocalist James Hunter and acclaimed singer-songwriter-guitarist Carolyn Wonderland. More acts are expected to be announced.

Tickets for the Santa Cruz Blues Festival go on sale Wednesday. Visit www.santacruzbluesfestival.com for more information.
