SAN JOSE -- Three burglary suspects were arrested following a police search that prompted the lockdown of a West San Jose elementary school Monday morning, police said.

Police were called about 10:10 a.m. to the 1300 block of Wylie Way for reports of an active burglary, said Officer Albert Morales. A resident was in her home when multiple people forced their way inside. She fled safely, and the suspects fled in a vehicle.

As a precaution, police ordered staff at Payne Elementary School on Gleason Avenue to lock their doors.

The lockdown was lifted about 12:20 p.m. following the arrests of three people on suspicion of burglary and possessing stolen property. No injuries were reported.
