PITTSBURG -- Police continue to search for the driver in a hit-and-run accident that critically injured a 60-year-old man last week, and Tuesday they released new information that may help catch the suspect.

Police are looking for a Ford F-150 model truck that was built between 1997 and 2003, said Pittsburg police Lt. Ron Raman.

The truck would have major driver's side and front side damage, he added.

Police could not provide any further information on the car.

The collision was reported just after 6:30 p.m. Thursday on Leland Road at Bailey Avenue. The man was walking across Leland when he was struck.

Officers found the man on the street, breathing but not responsive, with injuries to his upper body. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he remains, Raman said. His identity has not yet been released.

The extent of his injuries are still unknown.
