PLEASANTON -- A Wells Fargo banked was robbed late Tuesday morning, and police are asking the public to help them locate the suspect.

At 11:10 a.m., the Wells Fargo Bank located at 4765 Hopyard Road was robbed, police said.

Police said the suspect entered the bank and presented a note stating that he was robbing it and demanded cash.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot. No weapon was displayed and no associated vehicle was seen.

The suspect is described as a black adult man, 30 to 40 years old, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, 160 to 175 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a goatee.

He was last seen wearing a light-colored long sleeve shirt, blue or gray pants and sunglasses.

Police said they were told the man also spoke with a Jamaican or similar accent.

No one was injured during the robbery.
