SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO -- A motorcyclist died after crashing into a retaining wall and a tree near a business park off Highway 101 early Thursday, police said.
Officers were called to the area at the rear of 951 Gateway Blvd. on reports of a motorcycle accident just after 6 a.m., and found a 29-year-old man was involved in the solo-vehicle wreck. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
The man's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The accident remains under investigation by South San Francisco police, who ask witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at 650-877-8900.
