CONCORD -- A 19-year-old man was rushed to the hospital with stab wounds after he was attacked outside McDonald's late Saturday afternoon.

At 4:05 p.m., Concord police responded to the corner of Monument Boulevard at Virginia Lane for a report of a fight. The caller reported that a male was being assaulted by several subjects.

Officers arrived and found that the 19-year-old, whose identity has not been released, had been assaulted and stabbed. The suspects fled from the restaurant in a dark colored sport utility vehicle.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
