PINOLE -- Police released a sketch late Saturday of a man who grabbed a 12-year-old girl as she walked home from school Friday.

The girl was on the 1100 block of Appian way around 2:30 p.m. when a man leaning against the trunk of a car said, 'Hey, do you want a ride?'

When the girl refused the man grabbed her wrist, but she pulled her arm away and ran home, said Pinole police who consider the incident an attempted kidnapping.

The girl told police the suspect was a white man who was 19-20 years old, about 6 feet tall and thin. His hair was short, black and slicked back. He also had a brown goatee and a piercing in his right eyebrow. He wore a white T-shirt, black jeans and black work boots.
