OAKLAND -- Two men were wounded by gunfire Sunday night less than 90 minutes apart in East Oakland, police said.

Both victims are expected to recover. Their names or ages were not released.

One man was shot about 6:51 p.m. in the 1200 block of 62nd Avenue. He was able to get his own transportation to a hospital.

Two suspects, one with a gun, fled on foot. No motive was released.

At 5:35 p.m. a man was shot in the 2500 block of Seminary Avenue by a gunman who fled on foot.

The man was taken to a hospital in stable condition. No motive was released.

At this point the shootings do not appear to be related.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money in each shooting for information leading to the arrest of the gunmen. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3821 or a tip line at 510-773-2805.
