CONCORD -- A Concord man who was hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk on Concord Boulevard late Monday night was expected to survive, police said Tuesday.
Police say the 21-year-old man was in the crosswalk just east of Humphrey Drive when a 1999 Nissan Altima hit him just before 11 p.m., Lt. Robin Heinemann said.
When officers arrived, the man was in the street suffering from an array of injuries; none of them were considered life-threatening, Heinemann said.
The driver stopped after the wreck and is cooperating with police, Heinemann said. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor, and the car was not speeding, she said.
