Monday, march 11

  • 12:04 p.m. -- Cambridge Way & Manor Drive. A caller reported three males traveling in a red Toyota Camry who appeared suspicious.

    Tuesday, march 12

  • 4:01 p.m. -- Magnolia Avenue. A man reported an aircraft flew over his residence and sprayed a "vanilla substance," police said. The man did not want police or firefighters to respond, however.

    Wednesday, march 13

  • 12:24 a.m. -- Winsor Avenue. A woman told police that someone rifled through her vehicle. No items appeared to have been stolen, while the theft of a manual and an insurance card from another vehicle on the street was reported at 8:42 a.m. A caller reported at 7:59 a.m. that someone rifled through his unlocked vehicle on Wildwood Avenue and stole the registration. Police also said a wallet was reported stolen at 9:10 a.m. from a locked vehicle on Ramona Avenue.

  • 8:15 a.m. -- Olive Avenue. A green Honda CRV was reported stolen. The theft occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Oakland police notified Piedmont investigators at 1:14 p.m. that they recovered a stolen vehicle that was registered to a Piedmont resident.

    Thursday, march 14

  • 9:40 a.m. -- Trestle Glen Road. Identity theft was reported.

  • 10:11 a.m. -- Indian Road. A woman told police that someone broke a window at her residence sometime Wednesday night in what may have been a burglary attempt.

    Friday, march 15

  • 8:30 a.m. -- Lexford Road. A man told police that he suspects his former employee of embezzlement.

  • 8:56 a.m. -- Sandringham Road. A woman reported the theft of a decorative urn from outside her residence. It happened sometime between 10 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

    Saturday, March 16

  • 11:46 a.m. -- Mountain Avenue. A thief rifled through an unlocked vehicle and stole two pairs of sunglasses and an iPod late Friday night or early Saturday morning, police said.

    Sunday, March 17

  • 2:59 p.m. -- Arbor Drive. Identity theft was reported.

  • 4:44 p.m. -- Maxwelton Road. Tools and cash were reported stolen from a vehicle, police said.
