Bay Area online shoppers now have the choice of yet another e-commerce delivery service that will bring purchases to their home in mere minutes.
Shutl has added itself to the list of same-day delivery services in San Francisco. Unlike eBay (EBAY), Google (GOOG), Amazon and Walmart, which also offer either same-day or one-hour delivery in the Bay Area, Shutl is not a retailer, but a super-quick delivery service. Customers that shop at retailers that partner with Shutl -- there will only be a few in the Bay Area, and they haven't yet been announced -- can have their online orders delivered in minutes or within a one-hour window of their choice. The company says it operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and most deliveries cost less than $10.
Customers can track the delivery on a GPS-enabled map. Shutl boasts that its fastest delivery was 14 minutes and 58 seconds.
The UK-based company has its North American headquarters in San Francisco and is planning to expand to cities across the country.
