"Game of Thrones" actor Clive Mantle had part of his ear bitten off during a fight last weekend at a U.K. hotel.

Go ahead and make your own Mike Tyson joke now, so we can move on.

The incident occurred early Sunday at the Newcastle Travelodge in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne in England.

Around 4:30 a.m., the actor, who had just performed in "The Ladykillers" at the Theatre Royal, went outside to ask some loud guests to quiet down, according to the Daily Mirror. When he had to go out and ask a second time, trouble started.

"That's when they set about him, and even though he is a big guy they got him on the ground," his agent, Bryn Newton, told the Mirror. "One of them bit the top part of his right ear off. It was savage. Fortunately, someone heard the commotion down the corridor and came out to help him and called hotel management."

Do they have hyenas in England? Because it sounds like he was dealing with a pack of hyenas.

Surgeons at the Royal Victoria Infirmary were able to resew Mantle's bitten ear.

"He is very shaken and shocked by what has happened, you don't expect this kind of thing to happen in a hotel," a spokesperson for the 55-year-old told the BBC. "The part of the ear that was bitten off was found and sewn back on. Mr. Mantle said the police, ambulance and hospital staff were amazing."

According to the Mirror, Mantle will see a specialist this week to determine if the resewing was a success.

The British actor appeared in Season 1 of "Game of Thrones" as Greatjon Umber who, according to E! News, had two fingers bitten off in the series. He is best known for playing Dr. Mike Barrett in Britain's "Casualty" from 1988 to 1998.

"You don't expect that sort of thing to happen in that situation," Newton said. "Clive said both men outside his room been drinking heavily, but he could lose his ear, and as an actor, that would mean he cannot make a living."

Mantle had to suspend his role in "Ladykillers." Jon Bath, who works in production on the show, told arts news site The Stage that the attack was "horrifying and disgusting and has shaken everyone up."

A 32-year-old man from South Lanarkshire has been charged with wounding with intent.
