SAN JOSE -- A man was taken into custody following the robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank branch in South San Jose reported Friday afternoon.
According to police, a man entered the branch at Branham Lane and Snell Road about 1:10 p.m., threatened a teller and demanded money. He ran away with a undisclosed amount of cash.
He fled, hopping over fences into an apartment complex, police said.
SWAT officers along with the canine and robbery units scoured the area, evenutally locating a parolee who fit the description of the bandit, according to San Jose police Sgt. Jason Dwyer. The man was taken into custody, but it was not clear Friday night whether he was going to be charged with the robbery.
