ALAMEDA COUNTY -- Caltrans will be closing the Moraga Avenue onramp on northbound State Route 13 in Oakland beginning Monday for removal of leaning and dead trees along the road, the agency announced.

The onramp will be closed from Monday through Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will not be open to any traffic, including emergency personnel, according to Caltrans.

Those who usually use Moraga Avenue are encouraged to take Mountain Boulevard, Florence Terrace or Duncan Way to the Broadway Terrance onramp to get onto the highway.

Commuters can expect delays as a result of the tree removal.
