SAN JOSE -- San Jose is seeking applicants over the next four weeks for eight city commissions that help shape policy on a variety of subjects.
Commisions with vacancies to fill include airport, arts, historic landmarks, library and early education, parks and recreation, youth and senior citizens. Also needing applicants is a council appointment advisory commission that screens applicants for boards and commissions.
Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Friday, May 17. Applicants must be San Jose residents and if appointed would serve terms of two to four years.
