RICHMOND -- One man remains in critical condition after he was found shot inside his car Friday afternoon, according to police.
Police responded to Richmond Parkway at Hilltop Drive at 3:54 p.m.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, police said. The man had been shot in his left eye, according to Richmond Fire officials.
According to police, a car pulled up next to the victim's BMW while he was driving along Richmond Parkway and someone inside the car began shooting.
Police are continuing to look for a man who was a passenger in the victim's car who fled from the scene after the shooting. It is unknown if he was hit by gunfire.
Police added that the shooting may be gang-related due to ties the victim has in the community.
Any descriptions of suspects or details on motive were not available Saturday morning.
Richmond Parkway was shut down by police while they investigated the incident, but has since reopened.
