CAMPBELL -- A teenage bicyclist was seriously injured Friday night after he collided with a car at an intersection.
Campbell police responded about 8:55 p.m. to the report of an accident and found the 14-year-old boy with a head injury lying in Campbell Avenue at Milton Avenue. He was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
The driver of the automobile, a 45-year-old San Jose resident, cooperated with officers, and there was no evidence that alcohol was involved, police said.
The initial investigation indicated that the boy wasn't wearing a helmet and didn't have a headlight on his bicycle, police said.
Campbell Avenue was temporarily closed between Milton and Carlyn avenues in both directions.
Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call traffic Sgt. Dan Livington at 408-866-2710.
