BRENTWOOD -- A Saturday afternoon crash in Brentwood has sent four people to the hospital, including two youths.
The two-vehicle accident, which was reported at 1:01 p.m., occurred at the intersection of Walnut Boulevard and Payne Avenue in Brentwood, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A pickup truck overturned onto its roof, ejecting a young person who sustained major injuries and was flown by helicopter to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. The male driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Also involved was a sedan carrying two adults and a child; the youngster and an adult female were transported by ambulance to John Muir Medical Center.
In addition to the CHP, East Contra Costa Fire District responded to the accident with three engines and 10 personnel.
