SAN BRUNO -- A person was struck and killed by a Caltrain early Wednesday morning in San Bruno, the second fatality in a span of seven days.
At 5:20 a.m. a southbound train struck a person between Linden and Scott streets in San Bruno, about one mile north of the San Bruno station, according to Christine Dunn, a Caltrain spokeswoman.
At 6:05 a.m. the northbound tracks were reopened and the southbound tracks reopened at 7 a.m., according to Dunn. The death remains under investigation.
The death is the eighth this year on Caltrain tracks.
