HAYWARD -- A motorcycle and a Sedan collided during the morning commute on Interstate 880 on Monday, injuring one person and forcing two lanes to be shut down briefly, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck happened around 7:22 a.m. in the southbound direction of I-880 at the S. Alvarado Boulevard on ramp, the CHP said.
The Nos. 1 and 2 lanes were shut down at 7:37 a.m. and opened again about 10 minutes later, according to the CHP.
One person involved in the wreck, believed to be the motorcyclist, was expected to be taken to a hospital with what was thought to be a broken leg, according to the CHP. Nobody else was seriously injured, according to the CHP.
