Justin Bieber and his giant highway patrol sunglasses were booed Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards, despite winning two awards.

According to the Huffington Post, the singer was accepting the Milestone Award when the crowd started booing. Looking slightly confused, Bieber said only the "craft" and his music should be considered, saying "none of the other bull" mattered.

Right. Being a self-possessed, entitled little twerp should have no bearing on whether people like you. Which, of course, only a self-possessed, entitled little twerp would suggest.

Of course, Bieber has had numerous episodes reflecting poorly on him, including threatening the life of a photographer, getting caught smoking marijuana, abandoning his baby pet monkey in Germany, and generally trying to act like a gangster despite being a skinny Canadian teenager.

"This is not a gimmick," Bieber said. "I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously."

Obviously. Now take him seriously. Or else he'll tell on you.

The Milestone Award was Bieber's second trophy of the night. He also took home "Top Male Artist."

It wasn't the first time Bieber has been booed. He got a similar reaction at a Canadian Football Game, a New York Knicks basketball game and at one of his own concerts, after he arrived hours late.
