ANTIOCH -- An Antioch resident shot during a robbery Monday night in the Wild Horse neighborhood was released from a hospital, police said Tuesday.

Police responded to a call around 8:20 p.m. that shots were fired near the 4600 block on Menona Drive near Wild Horse Road, Antioch police Sgt. M. Schwitters said. They found a 50-year-old man who police said was out on a walk when he was confronted by someone armed with a gun.

The suspect demanded money and then shot the man in the leg before fleeing the area in a vehicle described as a white or light gray Pontiac (possibly a Grand Am) with a rear spoiler, Schwitters said. Another man and woman also were with the suspect, he said.
